Ryan Mallory sent in his letter of resignation, he is no longer on the board.
Global Venture Representatives spoke to the board and gave presentations for the LNGCP2 Project on the storm water design plan. Rusty Welch will obtain copies of the maps that Venture Global presented at the meeting and have them at the next meeting for the board members.
The Minutes from the May meeting were approved. A motion was made by Ronald Nunez seconded by Gabe LaLande all were in favor.
The financial report was approved. A motion was made by Ronald Nunez seconded by Gabe LaLande, all were in favor.
Monthly bills were approved, a motion was made by Gabe LaLande, seconded by Ronald Nunez all were in favor.
The board tabled approving multiple Permits until next meeting when all members can be in attendance.
Rusty Welch informed the board that W1 West flap gate is damaged and water is free flowing in. It needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Marshland Equipment is making a metal gate to replaced the wooden damaged gate that was put in place in the 1970’s. Ronald Nunez made a motion to declare W1 West Structure a emergency and have it repaired as soon as possible. The motion was seconded by Gabe LaLande, all were in favor.
Rusty Welch has received 3 bids on fixing the culvert on Earl Road. The permit for this work will be complete June 30th. The work can not be done until the permit is complete. A motion was made by Gabe Lalande to go with the bid that will be using heavy duty black pipe the board members had previously discussed using for this project. Ronald Nunez seconded the motion, all were in favor.
Lonnie Harper’s office gave a quote to update the culvert book. A motion was made by Ronald Nunez to go forward with the update, Gabe LaLande seconded the motion, all were in favor.
The board discussed the North Cameron Protection Levee, elevation of the levee will be needed at some point. Lonnie Harpers office gave a bid to do this. The board agreed to table this discussion till a later date.
Earl Road is eroding, signs need to be put up to travel at a slow speed. If the road gets any worst it can be declared an emergency and will have to be fixed.
Rusty Welch reported to the board storm debris is being taken out of the canal while the water is low. Debris being taken out needs to be picked up and hauled off. A motion was made by Gabe Lalande to have this done. The motion was seconded by Ronald Nunez, all were in favor.
A motion was made by Gabe LaLande to approve the 2022 auditors report from Stub & Associates. The motion was seconded by Ronald Nunez, all were in favor.
A motion was made by Gabe LaLande to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Ronald Nunez, all were in favor.
