The Minutes from the April meeting were approved. A motion was made by Gabe Lalande seconded by Shirley Gray all were in favor.
The financial report was approved. A motion was made by Gabe LaLande seconded by Shirley Gray, all were in favor.
Monthly bills were approved, a motion was made by Shirley Gray, seconded by Gabe Lalande all were in favor.
The board discussed the flap gate on Ruby Lane. They will table this until the next meeting.
Gravity Drainage Board received an invoice for diesel for the pumps. The Police Jury owns the pumps and has never reached an agreement with the drainage board for maintenance on them. The bills were forwarded to the police jury until an agreement is made.
Rusty Welch had 3 bids for a fence for the Court House pump. A motion was made by Gabe LaLande to go with the Hercules Fence Bid. The motion was seconded by Shirley Gray, all were in favor.
Rusty Welch reported to the board NCPL is leaking really bad at W1 West. Water is coming in from the watershed. Rusty contacted a contractor to look at fixing it he is waiting on a price from them. Lonnie Harpers office contacted Rusty about a culvert permit they had went out and marked. When water was low more culverts were found and added to this permit. W1 West is in with this permit. W1 West is filling in with a lot of salt water and needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Gabe LaLande made a motion to fix W1 West, the motion was seconded by Shirley Gray. All were in favor.
The board discussed using a different culvert material that would hold up longer in the elements when they start working on W1 West. Rusty will let the contractor know the boards material request.
The culvert inventory book needs to be updated. Lonnie Harpers office can update the inventory book. Rusty will get a cost estimate and bring it back to the board to discuss it.
A motion was made by Gabe LaLande to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Shirley Gray, all were in favor.
