Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1

The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 6:00 p.m., September 18, 2023 at the Cameron Parish LSU AgCenter Extension Office. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Thomas Cox, Marck Smythe, and James Boudreaux. Gregory Gray, Robert Trahan, and Karl Styron were absent.
The meeting was called to order by Thomas Cox, who then asked for the reading of the minutes from the last meeting, August 9, 2023. A motion was made by James Boudreaux, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was made by James Boudreaux, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to approve the financial statement.
A motion was made by Mitchel Kelley, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried to enter into executive session. Mitchel Kelley made a motion, seconded by James Boudreaux to return to regular session. The pilot’s salary was decided to leave as is.
In new business, Mitchel Kelley made a motion, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried to approve the travel expenses for the 2023 LMCA Annual Meeting.
The next meeting will be decided at a later date. There being no further business, James Boudreaux made a motion, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
