The 2024 Cameron Parish Principal of the Year is Mika LeBert.

LeBert has been proud to serve Grand Lake Elementary for the past four years as an administrator. She spent two years as Assistant Principal and is in her second year as Principal.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from McNeese State University. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Leadership from LSU Shreveport.

Her goal is to see that all students at Grand Lake Elementary will grow academically and become lifelong learners. She pledges to the students, families and community to provide a nurturing educational experience.

In her free time, LeBert enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their three children. She loves to see them participating in their extracurricular activities.
