Easter events, egg hunts

Johnson Bayou

The Johnson Bayou Recreation Center will be hosting their annual Easter Bingo for the Johnson Bayou and Holly Beach communities on Thursday, Mar. 30. Bingo will begin at 6 p.m. at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center. Doors will open for the senior citizens at 5 p.m. and for the public at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Prizes are Pork Roasts, Chicken/Sausage, Cakes, and Easter Baskets.

You must live here, work here, vote here, or pay taxes here to play. Children Pre-K (in school) and up may play.

Easter Egg Hunt

Johnson Bayou Recreation Center’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, Apr. 1, at 1 p.m. The center is located at 135 Berwick Rd.

Hackberry

Hackberry Library will host a Children’s Easter Party on Friday, Mar. 31, from 1-2:30 p.m. This will be an afternoon filled with games and crafts.

Grand Chenier

Grand Chenier Recreational Dist. #9 will have their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, Apr. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Grand Chenier Park/Boat Launch. Hot dogs and snacks will follow the Egg Hunt. Don’t forget your basket!

Grand Lake

Grand Lake Community Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, Apr. 2 starting at 4 p.m. Kids and families are invited.

There will be plenty of eggs to find, along with food, special treats and prizes. Also we will act out the real meaning of Easter and the Resurrection.

Maunday Thursday

Grand Lake Community Church will have an Enactment of the Last Supper and events, leading to the crucifixion of Jesus on Maundy Thursday, Apr. 6, starting at 5:30 p.m. A fellowship supper will be served.
