Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23 (C) of the Louisiana Constitution and
R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of Law Enforcement District in Cameron Parish will be held at its regular meeting place in Room 104 ofthe Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office at the Law Enforcement Center, located at 124 Recreation Center Lane, Cameron, LA on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. to consider levying additional orincreased millage rates without further voterapproval or adopting the adjusted millage ratesafter reassessment and rolling forward to rates notto exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimat.ed amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is 6,355,534.95, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $41,240.19.
