Volunteers are needed for marsh grass planting

Volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in Cameron for the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana’s marsh grass plantings! They will be planting 10,000 plugs of spartina alterniflora in an area of degraded marsh east of Calcasieu Lake that faced major land loss as a result of Hurricanes Delta and Laura.

Boats will be used to transport volunteers to the planting site. Volunteers will be planting in shallow water. You will get wet and muddy. Lunch will be provided.
