The Jr High and High School Rodeos were held at Burton Coliseum May 21-31.

At the Thursday morning performance, May 29, several local students participated. Ike Little of Hackberry, headed, and his partner, Jayden Nunez, heeler, of South Cameron performed. Little is a sophomore at Hackberry High and the son of Tim and Angie Little.

John Wade Hoffpauir, headed, from JKF Academy and his partner, Trace Watkins of Magnolia Bend Academy performed in the Team Roping also.

Watkins is the son of Travis and Jamie Watkins of Chopin. He is also a sophomore. Both teams did well. Little and Watkins and Trace are both from rodeo families and are very active in the LHSRA Rodeos.

Watkins is the great-nephew of Evelyn and Willard White of Starks.
