Tracy Diane Bradbury Carter, 51, of Grand Chenier died on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021.

Mrs. Carter was born and raised in Denver, and raised in Maybell and Craig, Colorado, where she graduated from Moffat County High School. Once married, Grand Chenier and Southwest Louisiana came to be her home. She worked with the Cameron Parish School Board as a member, a substitute teacher and traffic control guard. She also worked with her husband as an administrator for their family Cattle Ranch and the past five years, as a Bridge Operator for the Louisiana State Department of Transportation and Development.

She is survived by her husband, Brandon Jerome Carter of Grand Chenier; son, Brandyn Wayne Carter (Kristin) of Lake Charles; daughter, Lauren Ashley Carter of Grand Chenier; two grandsons; mother, Lynnette Wagner Bradbury of Westlake; sister, Yvette Bradbury of Westlake.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Raymond Bradbury and sister, Katie Bradbury Beard.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 3, at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Rod Vincent officiated. Interment followed in Sweetlake-Grand Lake Community Cemetery.
