Robert “Bobby” Earl Douget, 74, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021.

He was born in Jennings. When he was a young child, his family moved to Lake Charles to open and operate grocery stores. He served in the US Army and Navy. He worked in the family grocery store, Peggy’s Superette, and in the construction industry in various plants.

He relocated to Lake Charles from Kinder after the hurricanes of 2020.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Mark) Hamilton of Lake Charles, Shonda (Ronald) Mire of Grand Lake; siblings, Tina Sonnier, Jan Simmons, Larry Douget and Keith Douget, two grandsons; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dianna; and parents Nalan and Peggy Douget.
