The Cameron Parish School Board met on Monday, Mar. 13, for their regularly scheduled meeting.

Cameron Parish Students, Teachers and Principal of the Year recognition was observed. Recipients were announced and given certificates at the meeting. They were thanked and commended for their hard work.

A new Superintendent Evaluation form was adopted. It was discussed that no further contact has been received in regard to contract provisions for sale of the building at 510 Marshall Street to date.

The 2023-24 Cameron Parish School Board District Calendar with a fall break in front of Christmas was approved by the board. South Cameron High School Yearbook staff was given approval for a day field trip on Monday, Mar. 27, to be transported by school system vehicle.

Cheniere LNG representatives were in attendance at the school board meeting. They announced a $5,000 donation to Johnson Bayou High School. A check presentation will be made at a future meeting.
