Police Jury meets September 13

Cameron Parish Police Jury met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Cameron Parish Police Jury Annex.

The following actions were taken during the Voting Session:

Permits approved were for: Volney Griffin; Texas Petroleum Investment Company; Venture Global; Cameron Parish Police Jury for several drainage projects; Timothy Landry; Sabine Pass LNG, LP.; and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Appointments were approved for Michael Styron, Jr., Johnny LeBlanc and Keith Prudhomme to be nominated for Port of Lake Charles Board of Commissioners.

Approval was granted for President authority to sign Resolution granting authority to Katie Armentor, Administrator to sign all documents related to insurance renewals for: Equipment, General Liability, Commercial Auto,Workers Compensation and VFIS.

Approval was given for amendment to the 2018 Master Service Agreement with Fenstermaker on the limit of overall design compensation fee from $1.5M to $2.5M for permitted breakwater projects

Various Change Orders for Courthouse & Jail Project and Cameron Main Library were approved.

Approval was granted for President authority to sign Resolution Declaring a Fisheries Catastrophe Arising from the Surge of Imported Shrimp in Unrestricted Volumes.

Approval was granted President authority to sign Resolution Evidencing Public Approval of Bonds Pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

Authority granted to apply for State Capital Outlay Funding

Authority granted to advertise for Request for Proposals for Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) Condemnation on Batches 2, 3, & 4.

Authority granted to advertise to change speed limit on PR 430, Nunez Road, Sweetlake from 25 mph to 10 mph.

Authority granted to advertise public hearing, boundaries and ordinance change to consolidate Waterworks District No. 7 & 9, and Cameron Wastewater No. 1 into South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1

Authority granted to advertise public hearing, boundaries and ordinance change to create Cameron Parish Wastewater District No. 1

President was granted authority to sign Letter of support for the carbon capture program to be administered and permits issued by the State (DNR).
