Paul H. Duhon, 85, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023. He was born Dec. 14, 1937 in Creole to Desire “Gosh” and Victoria Richard Duhon.

Paul was a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish where he owned Duhon Refrigeration. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Turpin Duhon; three brothers, Alvin, Ruster and Pete Duhon; and one sister, Glenda Conner.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Delia “DeDe” Sanders (Fred) of Cameron, Raymond Duhon (Donna) of Lake Charles and Maria Duhon of Creole; six grandchildren, David Nunez, Melissa Savoie, Ethan Nunez, Megan Morgan, Matthew Morgan, and John Warner; eight great-grandchildren, David Charles, Samantha, Nathan and Oliver Nunez, MacKenzie and Preston Savoie, Sterling Grace Warner and Silas Morgan Bennett.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, Feb. 23, starting at 12 p.m. until the time of service. A Celebration of Life of will follow at the funeral home starting at 1 p.m. Cremation is entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
