Charles Berchman Colligan, 68, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 at his home.

He was formerly of Hackberry, presently of Singer. He worked 25 years for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lydia Wingate Colligan; brother Morris Raphael Jr.; half-sister Roseanne Raphael; and half-brother John Raphael.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joel Berchman Colligan; his adoptive parents Dr. J.B. and Helen Colligan; his birth parents Morris Raphael Sr. and Serita Lorenza Raphael.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating. The family received friends on Monday, Feb. 20, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
