Pamela “Pam” Nugent Carroll, 74, of DeRidder passed from this life on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Pam was a faithful preacher’s wife who served alongside her husband in ministry. She loved her family and was devoted to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved teaching VBS, taught Sunday School, and was the Spice of Life Leader at her Cameron church. Pam was a former resident of Cameron Parish, co-owner of CAM TOOL & Machine Shop, and was an avid jelly maker and quilter.
Those left to cherish Pam’s memory are her loving husband of 55 years, Wade Hampton Carroll, Sr of DeRidder; son, Wade Carroll, Jr and Shirley, of Rosepine; daughter, Lisa Carroll Miller of Rosepine; brother, Lonnie Clyde Nugent, Jr and Suzie of DeRidder; brother, James David Nugent and Kim, of Sugartown; grandchildren, Justin Carroll, Amy Carroll Meche and Colby, Sydney Carroll, Dylan Carroll, Ethan Miller, and Laiken Miller; great-grandchildren, Cayden Meche and Bennett Meche, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie “Buck” Nugent, Sr; mother, Minnie Jones Nugent; son-in-law, Darren Miller; and sister-in-law, Grace Carroll.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, at 5 p.m. until at Unity Baptist Church in DeRidder. Vistation will resume at 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m., Friday, May 27, at Unity Baptist Church in DeRidder. Brother Wayne Chance, Brother Van Lowe, and Brother Lloyd Carroll will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Miller, Justin Carroll, Colby Meche, Lonnie Nugent III, Brandon Trahan, Jamey Carroll, Greg Nugent, Cameron Wonner, Corey Wonner, Matt Young, and Mark Young.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cayden Meche and Bennett Meche.
Burial will follow at New Cypress Lewis Cemetery in Rosepine.
Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dry Creek Baptist Camp.
