James “Pete” Little, 81, died Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Lake Charles Care Center.

He was a long-time resident of Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes. He was born in Sulphur and lived a large part of his early years in Hackberry. He was currently residing in Sulphur.

He served his country in the United States Army. After his time in the service, he worked several jobs including roughnecking, working for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, and for the Vinton Police Department. He was a member of the American Legion

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Frazier; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, all of North Carolina; three sisters, Billie Ogea of Tomball, Texas, Betty Manuel, and Linda Little of Cypress, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Little of Hackberry; mother, Alice Boudreaux of Sulphur; two brothers; and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, May 23, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry. Father Jerish George, M.O.C. officiated. Burial followed at Hackberry Community Cemetery.
