Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held a special scheduled meeting on October 26, 2023 at 6:00 pm.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox, Kayla Conner, Jacob Babcock and Kris Howerton
Absent: none
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano and Vickie Pickett.

Public comment- time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items
Mr. Casteel addressed the board regarding the possibility of purchasing additional heavy weight free standing weights.
Members bringing children under 16 years old – Thomas Cox made a motion to amend the current contract to allow 14 year old children that are accompanied by an adult parent or legal guardian. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none
Family membership discount – the board discussed the topic and decided to leave the family membership cost as it is.
Hiring a second office manager – resumes received were reviewed. Kayla Conner made a motion to hire Heather Breaux Devillier. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none
Weekly / per visit memberships – Kris Howerton made a motion to continue the cost of weekly / per visit memberships at $5.00. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
