Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1

The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 5:00 p.m., June 29, 2023 at the Cameron Parish LSU AgCenter Extension Office. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Thomas Cox, Marck Smythe and James Boudreaux. Gregory Gray, Robert Trahan and Karl Styron were absent. Jeremiah Bult was present via phone.
The meeting was called to order by Thomas Cox, who then asked for the reading of the minutes from the last meeting, June 6, 2023. A motion was made by Mitchel Kelley, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was made by Mitchel Kelley, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried to approve the financial statement.
In old business, the purchase of the new spray truck was discussed.
In new business, James Boudreaux made a motion, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to enter executive session to discuss the full-time pilot’s salary. Then Mitchel Kelley made a motion, seconded by James Boudreaux and carried to return to regular session. Pilot salary was discussed in executive session and decided to table for a later date.
The next meeting will be decided at a later date. There being no further business, James Boudreaux made a motion, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
