PROCEEDINGS
October 12, 2022
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Mark Trahan, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Mike Welch, Mr. Brad Hinton
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch, Mr. Dalton Nunez, and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
The meeting was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the minutes from the September 14th, 2022 meeting were approved.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Mike Welch and carried unanimously, the Board elected to repair the 2” riser for the fire truck fill up at the fire station and to repair the fire hydrant as previously planned.
Mark Trahan will provide a GPS locator for the operators to use to marking new hydrants with GPS coordinates.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch and Dalton Nunez. The operators will get pricing for a new well motor and for storage of a spare motor. Two substantial leaks were located and fixed along Hwy. 27 in the past month.
The monthly updates and Financial Reports including the Actual vs Budget Report for the month ending September 30, 2022 were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Mark Trahan and carried unanimously, the financial reports were accepted and all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further business, on motion of Mark Trahan, seconded by Brad Hinton and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
