MINUTES OF MEETING
AUGUST 11th 2021
A meeting was held by the Board of Directors of the Cameron Parish Beachfront Development Dist. No. 2 at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 126 Ann Street Cameron, Louisiana.
Board members present were: Kim Murphy, Peggy Griffith, Vickie Kiffe and Tina Payne
Absent: None
Guest: None
The meeting was called to order by Peggy Griffith due to no active President, as well as leading the Pledge and voluntary Prayer.
Public Comments: There were no Public Comments
On a motion by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tina Payne and carried, that the minutes for the July 28, 2020 regular session meeting were approved.
On a motion by Kim Murphy, seconded by Vickie Kiffe and carried, that all outstanding bills be paid.
The rock laying project began around the first of July 2020 and is now complete.
The Board discussed putting up barriers due to the debris still on the beach from Hurricane Laura. Warning signs are being made for the safety of our visitors along with new signs for our visitors to pick up their trash and deposit it at the designated dumping area.
We are in talks about whether or not to rebuild the pavilion and are discussing what action needs to be taken for this project.
The Board accepted the resignation of our long-time board member, Ms. JoAnn Nunez, due to relocating her residence.
On a motion by Tina Payne, second by Kim Murphy and carried, to elect Vickie Kiffe as President of the Board.
On a motion by Vickie Kiffe, second by Kim Murphy and carried, to elect Peggy Griffith as Vice President of the Board.
On a motion by Kim Murphy, seconded by Peggy Griffith and carried, that there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
Notes: The Cameron Parish Beach Board Dist. #2, at the August 11th 2021 meeting, adopted the meeting time and dates as follows:
