Mary Jean Kershaw Marnich, 66, of Lake Charles died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Sulphur, raised and educated in Hackberry and had lived most of her married life in Lake Charles. She had worked as a Pre-K teacher at St. Luke-Simpson Childcare Center, retiring last year as an administrator with twenty years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Keith Marnich; daughter, Melissa Marnich Cox and husband Clinton; son, Nicholas Keith Marnich; four grandchildren, all of Lake Charles; and brother, Roland Kershaw of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel Kershaw and Irene East Kershaw; and brother, Martin Kershaw.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 5, at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Dr. John Robert Black officiated.
