Brenda Quinn

Brenda Storm Quinn 75, of Big Lake passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. Brenda loved working with her flowers, feeding the birds, reading, and cooking Sunday lunches for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Brenda grew up in Johnson Bayou and lived in Creole until Hurricane Rita, then resided in Big Lake since 2005. She enjoyed riding the little ones on the golf cart. She deeply missed the daily calls from her sister, Myrna, who passed away in October of 2020.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, George “GC” Quinn, Jr. of Big Lake; her children, Regina Jouett (Shane) of Grand Lake, Heath Quinn (Donna Kay) of Big Lake, Penelope Richard (Darren) of Creole, and Kimberly LeBoeuf (Ricky) of Grand Lake; eight grandchildren, Paige (Joe) Busby, Dylan (Brittany) Jouett, Cody Jouett, Brody Quinn, Devon (Stephen) Melville, Brayden Richard, Quade (Kelsey) LeBoeuf, and Maia LeBouef; 11 great-grandchildren, Landon, Jaxon and Emma Busby, Wyatt, Maverick and Lennox Jouett, Sofia, Ava, and Nova Melville, Elliott and Kai LeBouef; brother, Billy Storm of Johnson Bayou; and sister-in-law, Glynn Portie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Allie Storm; sisters, Carolyn Storm, Marilyn McNiell, Myrna Leger, and Delores Storm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. in Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Gandy officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Johnson and Robison from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will continue on Friday, at 8 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be held in Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital, the Cameron Library or a donation of your choice.
