Martha “Marty” Nell Fosscett Stevens, 69, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, in a local hospital.

She was born in Kinder and was a graduate of LaGrange High School. She began her career in 1988 for the Policy Jury, where she was currently the MIS Specialist. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Stevens of Lake Charles; daughter, Daphne Ellender and husband Toby of Grand Lake; sons, Brian Stevens of Lake Charles, and Brandon Stevens and wife Misty of Grand Lake; sisters, Connie Harbin of Shreveport, Neida McCurry of Sulphur, and Judy Cobb of Benton; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alice Fosscett.

Her funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 13, at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Highland Memory Gardens.
