Board President Ernest Roberts called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Jaimie Boudreaux, Wendy Harrington and Kathleen Simon. Peter Posada, Sonny McGee and Beth Ferguson were absent. Kathleen led the pledge of allegiance and Jaimie led the prayer. No public comment.
On the motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the minutes of the last meeting.
On the motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the financial report.
On the motion by Kathleen and seconded by Jaimie, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the lowest bid for Grand Chenier hurricane repairs for $589,000 and the add on of $32,000 for elevator from Cuzan Construction.
On the motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the lowest bid for Johnson Bayou library hurricane repairs for $452,750 from Spaw Glass Construction.
On the motion by Kathleen and seconded by Jaimie, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the lowest bid for Grand Lake Library hurricane repairs for $184,900 from Alfred Palma Construction.
On the motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, and carried, the Library Board voted to Table accepting the drawings and bidding out Hackberry Library.
On a motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, the board voted to add WiFi Hotspot Policy to the agenda.
On a motion by Jaimie and seconded by Kathleen, the board voted to accept the proposed WiFi Hotspot Policy.
Delia Sanders gave library updates on grants and book clubs.
There being no further business and upon the motion of Kathleen seconded by Jaimie, and carried, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:55 p.m.
