Lighthouse Bend opens

Lighthouse Bend Restaurant held its Grand Opening in Cameron on Wednesday, Mar. 27. Attendees enjoyed a live band and got to see the area’s newest waterfront restaurant where foodies can celebrate their menu offering lunch, dinner and a Sunday brunch as well as a full service bar. Seating capacity is 100 people where you can dine-in or enjoy outdoor seating. The facility built by Venture Global LNG also features a marina with boat stalls and dock, RV Park with an outdoor pavilion and playground equipment and a C-store to accommodate traveling guests, workers and fishermen.

The view from the restaurant’s west side overlooks Monkey Island, formed when Cameron’s ship channel was dug a century ago by cutting through a bend in Calcasieu River.

The address of the restaurant is 190 Davis Rd., the former location of the historic Trosclair Canning Company which operated for over 50 years.

Restaurant hours are: Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a..m.-3 p.m.
