GRAVITY DRAINAGE
DISTRICT NO 4
JANUARY 26, 2021
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 held a regular meeting at the Grand Lake Water Works Office at 111 Dennis Lane, Sweet lake, Louisiana at 5:00 p.m. on January 26, 2021.
PRESENT: Leslie Griffith, Todd Morales, Dan Nunez
ABSENT: Mike Semien and Shane Broussard
The meeting was called to order by Co-Chairman Dan Nunez.
Mr. Aaron Pearce and Mr. Cassidy LeJeune was present for the public comment period. The group discussed the upcoming projects and timelines related to Hurricane Laura clean up.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the minutes of the October 21, 2020 meeting were approved. The November and December meetings were cancelled due to lack of members in attendance due to COVID-19.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the financial report was approved.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, to accept the compilation report for 2019 given by Mr. Coy Vincent.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board signed the 2020 agreement with CPA firm Gragson, Casiday & Guillory, Mr. Coy Vincent.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the following bills were approved for payment.
Gragson, Casiday & Guillory CPA, $3,000.00
Stans Airboat and Marsh Excavator, $4,000.00
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board added the following permits to the agenda.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board approved the following permits:
1. LCUP#201215 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: S East Creole, Sections 20 and 21, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along existing drainage lateral “F”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
2. LCUP#201214 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: N East Creole, Sections 20, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 1,230 linear feet of drainage lateral “O”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
3. LCUP#201210 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: N East Creole, Sections 15-17, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 3,554 linear feet of drainage Lateral “L”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
4. LCUP#201207 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Oak Grove Area, Section 34-36, T14S, R07W and Section 31, T14S, R06W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 16,970 linear feet of drainage Lateral “A”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
5. LCUP#201211 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Creole Canal, Sections 4,5,8,17,20,29,32, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging to cleanout 38,084 linear feet of canal running parallel to State Highway 27), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
6. LCUP#201216-A – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Oak Grove Area, Sections 31 and 32, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 6,880 linear feet of drainage lateral “M”0, Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
7. LCUP#201218 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: S Little Chenier, Section 17, T14S, R06W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 4,147 linear feet of drainage lateral “K”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
8. LCUP#201212 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Highway 27/West Creole Highway, Sections 26-27, T14S, R08W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 7,900 linear feet of lateral cleanout running parallel to State Highway 27), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
9. LCUP#201216-B – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Creole, Sections 2 and 3, T14S, R08W, and Sections 17 and 18, T14S, R07W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 6,964 linear feet of drainage lateral “P”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
10. LCUP#201105 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Creole, Section 20 and 21, T14S, R06W, (proposed to perform maintenance dredging along 9,610 linear feet of drainage lateral “I”), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
11. LCUP#201110 – Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District 4 – Location: Oak Grove, Lateral 29 47 16.65 Longitude -93 05 53.64, (proposed emergency use authorization to construct a 3 ft wide earthen berm to perform the necessary repairs on existing facilities; EUA-20-088), Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
There being no further business, on motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
