CPAD2 met on March 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the CPAD 2 Office at 979 Main St. Hackberry, La. 70645
Members Present: Calise Romero, Kattie Toups, Phyllis Doxey, Ronald Doucett and Gwen Constance
Members Absent: Randall McFatter
Guests: Darla Perry, Rhonda Coleman, Chris Tabor, Jason Jones, Katie Armentor, Wendy Harrington and Bobbie Fountain.
Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Pledge led by Mrs. Constance.
Prayer led by Mrs. Constance.
Members approved the January 18, 2021 board minutes with a motion by Mrs. Constance and a 2nd by Mrs. Toups and carried unopposed.
When ask there were no public comments.
Old Business:
1. Update on Hurricane Repairs (No Action)
New Business:
1. The 2021 Millage of 9.5 Mills was adopted with a yay by Mrs. Constance, Mr. Romero, Mr. Doucett, Mrs. Doxey and Mrs. Toups, No Nays, No one Abstained and one absent that being Mr. McFatter.
2. Mrs. Perry presented the Payroll, Bills and Budget to Actual Reports. Mrs. Toups made a motion to accept all reports as given Mrs. Doxey made a 2nd and the motion carried unopposed.
3. There was a discussion on Grand Lake and Big Lake being stick built, modular or combining Fire/EMS. After lengthy discussion it was decided that we CPAD2 would be purchasing our on property at this time and have Rhonda search for property for sale in the Big Lake and Grand Lake area to put future Crew Quarters and with a motion by Mrs. Constance and a 2nd by Mr. Romero it carried unopposed.
4. After hearing from the Architect Jason Jones and Modular Home presenter Chris Tabor it was decided to move forward with the modular home specs with a motion by Mr. Romero and a 2nd by Mrs. Constance and carried to have Mr. Tabor present board with specs, cost and timeline at the next meeting.
5. Mrs. Coleman gave the directors report of ambulance runs and transport billing. With a motion by Mr. Romero and a 2nd Mrs. Constance it was carried to accept the directors report.
6. Mrs. Doxey made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Romero made a 2nd and it carried meeting adjourned.
