Jeanette Jacobs

Jeanette Elisabeth Thibodeaux Jacobs, 63, of Creole, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024. Jeanette was born on Sunday, Dec. 4, 1960 in Mannheim, Germany to Amos Lee Thibodeaux and Betti Eitelwein Thibodeaux.

Always a free spirit, Jeanette marched to the beat of her own drum. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers and little garden. She loved the beach, the sun, some good boiled crabs/shrimp/crawfish, and finding a good deal out shopping, especially those garage sales and flea markets. Another passion was music, which always helped celebrate the good times and get her through the hard times.

Last but certainly not least, she loved those cats. All the cats. Every single cat that ever crossed her path.

She had to save them all. Her cats were her babies, and she spoiled them rotten! They meant the absolute world to her.

Jeanette was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Roy Jacobs; her parents; beloved grandparents, Theo and Rita Thibodeaux; and aunt, Leola Fawvor.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie M. Thibodeaux (Jack K. White II) of Baton Rouge; step-sons, Michael R. Jacobs and Gary J. Jacobs both of Baytown, Texas; sister-in-law and very dear friend, Carla Trahan Jacobs; sister-in-law, Carolyn R. Battarbee of Baytown, Texas; and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Jeanette’s wishes were to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life.
