Glada Marie Guidry of Creole died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 82 “one day shy of 83” at home.

She was a graduate of South Cameron High School (the first graduating class) and a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She retired from South Cameron High as a janitor after 15 years. She was co-owner of the Fiesta Lounge in Cameron.

She is survived by her three children, Julie Rutherford (J. E.), Janelle Boudreaux (Roger), and Janice Hebert (Mike Jarreau), father of her children, Connie Mack Guidry; siblings, Glinda Mae Boudreaux, and Marty Allen LaBove; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arceneaux “Baus” LaBove and Lola Faulk LaBove; granddaughter, Richelle La’Nae Boudreaux; and one brother.

Funeral services were held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home in Iowa Monday, May 23, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial followed in Sweetlake – Grand Lake Community Cemetery.
