Grand Lake Senior Center has re-opened after an almost 3-year hiatus. If the past three years have taught us anything, it’s patience and perseverance; which the great people of Cameron Parish already learned that from natural disasters and economic downfalls in previous years. From the Covid Pandemic closing it down in March of 2020, then Hurricanes Laura and Delta making their appearance in August and October of 2020, then processing of relocation, plans, materials, and contractors for the better part of 2021 and 2022.
We are excited to announce that the Senior Center in Grand Lake has re-opened as of Monday, Jan. 9.
We welcome all seniors to enjoy Bingo on Mondays at 10 a.m., as well as other various activities, including but not limited to, Chair Exercises, Puzzles, Dominos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Fellowship on Thursdays and Beanbag Baseball on Fridays.
The Senior Center is opened Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-12 noon, with special discretions for weather and holidays permitted.
The Grand Lake Senior Center is located at 965 Hwy 384, next to the Cameron Council On Aging/Cameron Community Action Agency Office Building.
Any questions on activities, call 337-598-5158 ext. 6 on the Agency Directory.
