Gilbert Joseph Bourque, 83, of Sulphur died on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022.
He was born in Grand Chenier. He was a diesel mechanic, serving in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate from Creole High School and a Cameron Parish resident all of his childhood.
He is survived by his six children, Bobbi-Lou Webb and fiancé Rob Zwemmer, David Bourque and wife Adrienne, Enjoli Corbello and husband Keith Beasley, Gilbert Bourque, John Bourque and wife Sue, and Harmon Bourque; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Reyes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Bourque; one brother, parents, Pierre Bourque and Angel Montie; son, Steven Bourque; one half-sister; and stepmother, Sarah Brown.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
