Georgia McRight

Georgia Trahan McRight, 90, died Thursday, Mar. 25, 2021 in Sulphur.

She was born in Orange, Texas. She lived most of her early life in Johnson Bayou. She drove a bus for 23 years, then was employed for 15 years at Mobil Oil in Johnson Bayou. In 1998, she and her husband moved to Sulphur.

She was member of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur.

Survivor include her daughters, Gwendolyn Frey and Jennifer Dawn Nicholson (Steve); six grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Trahan of Lake Charles and Carroll Trahan of Sulphur; three sisters, Elaine Carter of Woodworth, Linda Vining of Mississippi, and Faye Brier of Lafayette.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Trahan, Sr. and Annie Mae Romero; husband, Kenneth McRight; two brothers; one sister; and infant sister, Annabelle Trahan.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Mar. 28, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Interment followed at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.
