Cameron Fire Chief Tim Dupont announced this week that the Protection Class Rate for Fire District 1 has improved from a 10 to a 5.

“The new rating system makes it difficult for a Volunteer Fire Department to improve so dramatically,” he said. “I am very proud of our volunteer firefighters for their accomplishments over the past year. The residents of Cameron will soon be noticing a large reduction in their fire insurance premium.”
