Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District
December 13, 2021
A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District was held at the Hackberry Recreation Center in Hackberry, Cameron Parish, Louisiana, on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Terry J. Murphy, Travis LaBove, Desiree Boykin, and Travis Welch.
Member Absent: Bethany Moore.
Guests: None.
The meeting was called to order by the Vice-Chairman, Travis LaBove and the following business was discussed.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to accept the regular meeting minutes as read.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to accept the financial statements.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to elect Travis LaBove as Chairman of the Board for 2022.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to elect Travis Welch as Vice-Chairman of the Board for 2022.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to amend the 2021 budget for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facility.
1 – Increase Insurance to $40,000.00.
2 – Increase utilities to $25,000.00.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to adopt the 2022 Budget for the General Fund.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to adopt the 2022 Budget for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facilities.
Motion was made by Desiree Boykin, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to accept low bid on Bleacher Canopies from Chuck Pierson Construction for $98,600.00.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to accept low bid on Ball Field Bleachers from Hahn Enterprises for $62,233.00.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to advertise for Pool repairs and Water Park addition.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
