Ethel Hebert

Ethel “Top Top” Boudreaux Hebert, 77, of Grand Lake died Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 at Harbor Hospice Facility with her family by her side.

She was born in Creole on Feb. 28, 1947. She loved cooking for her family and friends, playing bingo and playing at the casinos but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was a member of Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church in Cameron until relocating to Grand Lake after Hurricane Rita where she attended St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Big Lake.

Those left to cherish her memory include her longtime companion, Edward Petersen; daughters, Veronica (James) Boudreaux of Cameron and Stacy (Brian) Nunez of Grand Lake; two grandchildren, Nandi LeDoux and Michael Boudreaux of Grand Lake; three great-grandchildren, Karson and Donald “Tripp” LeDoux III and Khysley “Fancy Pants” Erny, all of Grand Lake; her Godson, Brady Duhon who she loved like her own child; two brothers, Joseph “Junior” Boudreaux and John “T John” Boudreaux; and many nieces; nephews; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ulysse “Eulice” and Eunice Miller Boudreaux; three brothers, Whitney “T Black” Boudreaux, Paul Boudreaux and infant brother, Joseph; and one sister, Marie Conner.

The family will welcome the public for Visitation at J. E. Hixson & Hixson Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 16, from 5 until 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday, Aug.17, at 8 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Lake Charles. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate.

The family would like to thank the Cameron Council on Aging, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Resthaven Rehab Center, Harbor Hospice, and all who helped with her care. Donations may be made to the Cameron Council on Aging.

Pallbearers will be: Grandsons, Michael Boudreaux and Donald LeDoux; Godson, Brady Duhon; Nephews, Blaine Conner and David Hebert; and Great Nephew, Ben Casey Bridges.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her great grandsons, Karson and Donald “Tripp” LeDoux III.
