Charles Wade Hannon, 86, died in Lake Charles Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.

He grew up in Evangeline and graduated high school in the Class of ’57. Upon graduation, he joined the Army and served our country for several years. He worked as an operator for Cities Service for 25 years. He was a member of Sweetlake Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Hannon; and son Michael and wife Amy Hannon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mabel Hannon; two sisters; and daughter, Donna Sorrells.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 4, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles with a graveside service following at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mel Yorks with First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles officiated.
