Cameron Parish District Attorney Tom Barrett issued the following statement:

“For those in the public who are calling for accountability, the results of the settlements from the June 2nd meeting were very consequential to the three parties involved. First, the contractor will pay $74,500 for the disputed invoices, a Police Juror resigned, and a department head was demoted and took a significant cut in pay. The Police Jury has held those persons accountable.”
