Tanny Beard has been named Hackberry High Student of the Year. Beard is an honor student with several Cross Country and Track championships.

He is vice president of Student Council and a member of the executive board and past class president. He is the Rodeo club secretary, FCA president, and BETA vice president.

Beard is also a member of cross country, basketball and track teams as well as being involved in community and church events.

In the summer he has worked as a lifeguard for the Hackberry Recreation Center.
