Saturday, Sept. 16, 246 Volunteers gathered on the Cameron Beaches for the 2023 Beach Sweep. 293 bags of trash were picked up.

A meal for volunteers was provided by the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center. Thanks to everyone who made the event such a success!

After the cleaning was done, Audubon Coastal Wildlife Network released three rehabilitated sea turtles into the Gulf of Mexico at Mae’s Beach.
