Allen James Viator, 90, of Lake Charles died Friday, February 17, 2023 in a local hospital.

He was born in Lafayette where he was raised before moving to Lake Charles. His career brought him to New Iberia for several years before returning to Lake Charles where he lived the rest of his life. He owned and operated a wholesale automobile business named Dixie Motors for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Leatrice Duhon Viator of Lake Charles; daughters, Debbie Theriot (Tommy) of Grand Lake and D’Lissa Cunningham (David) of Southlake, Texas; sister, Ella M. Viator of Breaux Bridge; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leta and Willie Viator; a son, Dwight Viator; and three brothers.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Monsignor Harry Greig officiated. Burial followed in Consolata Cemetery.
