BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
The Board of Commissioners of Lower Cameron Hospital Service District met in a special session on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Cameron Parish District Attorney’s office, in Cameron, Louisiana.
Members present were Chairman Stephanie Rodrigue, Vice-Chairman Mary Canik, Vickie Kiffe, and Tredale Boudreaux.
Members absent were Shawn Bonsall and Allyson Bourriaque.
Guests present were Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Champagne Brayden Ryder and Erica Williams, Stonebridge Health Systems, and Cameron Parish Police Juror Scott Trahan, via call.
The meeting was called to order by Stephanie Rodrigue, Chairman. A quorum was determined. There was no public comment.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, the agenda was amended to add consideration of the acceptance of the Notice of Termination of Operator Contract.
Mrs. Rodrigue reported that the Cameron Parish Policy Jury Administration communicated that the Cameron Parish Health Unit may be considered as an option for a temporary facility.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, Stonebridge Health System LLC’s Notice of Termination of Operator Contract was accepted unanimously.
Upon motion of Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, it was unanimously approved to engage Gachassin Law Firm, Lafayette, Louisiana, to provide special counsel in the areas of medical and hospital issues.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, it was unanimously approved to revise the Request for Qualifications for Architectural and Engineering Services to the deadline of March 13, 2023.
It was noted that the next regular meeting was previously scheduled for February 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Cameron Parish District Attorney’s Office, Cameron, Louisiana.
There being no further business, upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, the meeting was unanimously adjourned.
