January 10, 2023
Board President Ernest Roberts called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Wendy Harrington, Butch Guidry, Beth Ferguson, Kathleen Simon, Peter Posada and Jessica Crador. Beth Ferguson led the prayer and Wendy Harrington led pledge of allegiance.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Beth Ferguson, and carried, the Library Board voted to add Grand Chenier change order and Klondike to the agenda during public comments.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted Kathleen Simon as President for 2023.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, second by Butch Guidry, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted Beth Ferguson as Vice President for 2023.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Ernest Roberts and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the December 2022 minutes.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Jessica Crador and carried, the Library Board accepted substantial completion of New Hackberry Branch.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Beth Ferguson and carried, the Library Board approved traveling in and/ or out of state for training or conferences staying within budget.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Butch Guidry and carried, the Library Board voted to sell Grand Chenier Conex box.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Beth Ferguson and carried, the Library Board voted to ask Police Jury to accept the library to bid out Cameron Main.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Wendy Harrington and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the generator bid from Southwest Generator Sales & Services, LLC for Grand Lake Library.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Jessica Crador and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to use new Hotspot Policy.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted change order 2 and 3 for Grand Chenier Library.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Butch Guidry and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted bid by Mobile Modular for modular home for Klondike Library.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the selling of Lowry Building, Shed and Carport AS IS.
There being no further business and upon the motion of by Beth Ferguson seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:30 p.m.
