GRAVITY DRAINAGE
DISTRICT NO 4
February 28, 2023
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 held a regular meeting at Grand Lake Water Works District #11 Office, 111 Dennis Lane, Bell City, Louisiana 70630, at 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Shane Broussard.
Board members present for the meeting were: Shane Broussard, Leslie Griffith, Todd Morales, and Mike Semien.
Board member absent was Dan Nunez.
Also present at the meeting were Rusty Welch, GDD3; Scott Trahan, Juror CPPJ; Kevin Boudreaux and Kim Richard
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, February 1, 2023, meeting were approved.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Semien and carried, the Board approved to add to the agenda and allow Mr. Rusty Welch with Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 3 to submit a letter requesting NRCS Watershed Program planning assistance with Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 4 as a participant in the project.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Semien and carried, the Board agreed to keep Board Members the same. Chairman, Shane Broussard; Co-Chairman, Dan Nunez; Secretary/Treasurer, Leslie Griffith.
On motion of Mr. Semien, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board agreed to sign the Engagement Letter for the compilation services of the financial statements as of 12/31/2022 with Mr. Coy Vincent with Gragson, Casiday, Guillory, LLC.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Semien and carried, the financial report was approved.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the following bills were approved for payment.
1. Jeff Davis Electric – $42.59
2. Shane Broussard – $22.97 (padlock)
3. Cameron Parish Police Jury – $46,945.00 (Construction In Progress – FEMA Project #548590 – Lateral Debris Removal)
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Semien and carried, the Board approved the following permit. Permit LCUP:230303 – Dynamic Exploration Partners, LLC – Location of Permit: Little Chenier, Section 17, T14S, R06W (proposed #1 Dynamic-N. American Land Company #1 well will be abandoned. All structures removed, ring level levelled, and salt water flowline to SWD will be removed), Cameron Parish, La.
There being no further business, on motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
