Members Present: Wesley Hardin, Jared Desormeaux, Bobby Stansel, Gordon Gremillion, Will Aucoin
Employees Present: Brad Hinton and Shaun Kyle
The meeting was called to order by president Wesley Hardin and the following business was discussed.
Public Comment: None
On motion of Bobby Stansel, seconded by Jared Desormeaux and carried unanimously the Board approved the previous meeting minutes.
On motion of Jared Desormeaux, seconded by Gordon Gremillion and carried unanimously the Board elected to use Curtis Vincent to complete the electrical engineered drawings for the new building on Legion St.
On motion of Will Aucoin, seconded by Gordon Gremillion and carried unanimously the Board elected to give notice to the public to consider calling an election to be held on November 5, 2024, to consider the renewal of an ad valorem property tax millage for the purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining the district’s drainage systems in Gravity Drainage District No. 9 of Hackberry, Louisiana.
The Board asked to obtain a cost of construction of the newly designed flap gates for the next meeting before proceeding with the project.
On motion of Will Aucoin, seconded by Jared Desormeaux and carried unanimously the Board elected to award employees with an annual cost of living pay increase of 3%.
On motion of Jared Desormeaux, seconded by Gordon Gremillion and carried unanimously the Board elected to conduct annual employee evaluations in March 2024.
On motion of Jared Desormeaux, seconded by Bobby Stansel and carried unanimously the Board accepted the January 2024 Financial Report and Actual vs Budget Report.
On motion of Bobbby Stansel, seconded by Gordon Gremillion and carried unanimously the Board approved the invoices for payment.
On motion of Will Aucoin, seconded by Gordon Gremillion and carried unanimously the Board elected to renew the maturing CD with B1 Bank for another 12 months.
On motion of Jared Desormeaux, seconded by Bobby Stansel and carried unanimously the Board elected to invest $500,000 in 2 new $250,000 7-month CDs with B1 Bank.
On motion of Jared Desormeaux, seconded by Will Aucoin and carried unanimously the meeting was adjourned.
