5K/1 mile run first of Triple Crown series

The 5K/1 Mile run will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 8 a.m. The route at the Lake Charles Airport Area is posted on the link. 5K/1 Mile registration ends Jan. 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Fees include 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk – $35 and $40 race day; 5K Run/Walk – $35 and $40 race day.

With your registration fee you will receive a t-shirt and a gift bag from the Cameron Parish Tourism Commission, if registrated by Jan. 2, and a free admission wrist band for admission into the LA Fur and Wildlife Festival grounds.

Race day registration will be at 7 a.m. but will not include t-shirt or gift bag.

There will be no event t-shirts sold at the race.

Awards for 5K: Overall Male will receive an alligator wallet and Overall Female will receive an alligator purse. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age group. All participants will receive an alligator tooth necklace.

Age Groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+

Packet pickup is at 7 a.m. race morning at the race site.

The race benefits the Cameron Masonic Lodge #439.

Cameron Parish Triple Crown Race Series

The first race is the Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival 5K.

Finish all the events in the calendar year and receive a special medal after the beach 10K.
