Walter Wayne Hanna, born in Hackberry, died on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at the age of 80.

He retired from Lyondell Basell after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Roy) Hanna; children, Dianna “Dee Dee” Meche (David); Woodford “Woodie” Hanna, and Rebecca Ardoin (Aaron); sister, Lettie Bell Hanna Vonderzwagg; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodford Worth and Maggie Elethia (Hebert) Hanna; and two siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Immaculate Conception Cathedral on Monday, Mar. 7, with Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau as Celebrant. Cremation followed the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
