Two MRICs to open in Cameron

Two mobile registration intake centers (MRICs) have opened in Cameron Parish this week to help hurricane survivors.

The primary function of MRICs is to register survivors. MRICs move around regularly and may be in an area for a short period of time to reach survivors who need registration help only.

No appointments are necessary. Hours of operation for the two centers in Cameron Parish are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The MRICs are at:

1. Cameron Library, 512 Marshall St., from Nov. 23-Nov. 25; Nov. 27-Nov. 28

2. Johnson Bayou Fire Department, 155 Berwick Rd., Nov. 23-Nov.25; Nov. 27-Nov. 28

Both MRICs will be closed on Thanksgiving but will resume services the following day.

Additional centers are open in Louisiana. Survivors may visit any center in the state. To locate the closest center or check on the status of a MRIC prior to a visit to ensure the facility is open, visit this link.
