The Sabine Pass Lighthouse made it through both Hurricane Laura and Hurricane Delta, and the Cameron Preservation Alliance is moving forward with restoration efforts. In addition to the Holly Beach Lighthouse Run earlier this month, the Sponsor a Step program is still going strong. With 68 steps spoken for, there are now only 28 steps left to be sponsored. The list of donors was interrupted by the hurricanes, but continues below.
Each step will have a plate with the donor’s name. Each step costs $1000, and is tax deductible. Payment can be made by sending a check to the Cameron Parish Preservation Alliance c/o Andrew Tingler at 115 Boudreaux Lane, Lake Charles, LA 70607, or through Paypal at www.paypal.com/fundraise/charity/1983950. Tingler says a payment plan can be arranged.
