On Friday, Mar. 14, 2025, Timothy Duane Alexander Sr. went home to be with the Lord in glory after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Although Tim was not perfect, he held himself accountable for every mistake he made, and he attempted to make a mend to those he offended if possible. He was a loving father and grandfather who was always proud to brag about his children. He was a fair supervisor and understood the value of treating your workers with respect and appreciation. He taught me that if you take care of your hands, they will take care of you. He went out of his way to make sure every person on the base was taken care of and shown they are appreciated in every way possible. Most of all, he was fair to everyone and had a talented way of making everyone love to come to work even though they had to be away from their families. He often said we work to live not live to work. Unless it’s going to shut down the rig then make it work and don’t forget to send me an email about how you handled it so I can have your back; I can’t defend what I don’t know. He will be missed and remembered by the many men that had the honor to work with him.
Tim was preceded in death and eagerly joins his father, Thurman Lotis (Plow Point) Alexander; mother, Tommie Edith (Beau) Alexander; son, Jacob Evans Alexander; sisters, Donnie Dale/husband, Alvin (Bubby) Koch, Cheryle Skipper; niece, Rebel Darlene Abbott; son, Dustin Frank Goulette; nephew, William Thomas Koch.
Tim is survived by his wife, Brenda Jones Alexander; brother, Paul D. Alexander/wife Chrystal Anne Alexander; daughters, Teresa Kay McCarta and Amber Leigh Alexander; and sons Timothy Duane Alexander Jr. Joey William Goulette, John Thomas Alexander, and James Adam (Bubba) Denman.
A memorial service will be held to honor him on his birthday Friday, Apr. 11, at the First United Methodist Church Worship Center in Lake Charles, 812 Kirkman St. at 2 p.m. Brother Mel Yorks will preside over the services.
