Alf Edward Sanner died Thursday, Mar. 13, 2025. He was born in Hackberry. The family relocated to Sulphur. He graduated from Sulphur High in 1955. After high school, he attended McNeese State University for two years then was hired at Cities Service. He began in Operations and 42 years later, retired as Labor Relations Supervisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alf and Maydie Portie Sanner and stepmother, Hester Sanner; two brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his sons, Bo and Mark Sanner; and daughter, Cindy Sanner; along with five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration service was held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur on Wednesday, Mar. 19. Burial followed at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss.
